Night night Little Mei-Mei
Caregivers Jin and Ming Lee and regressor Mei Lee.
Summary; With a week of finals concluded, Mei gets a well deserved rest.
For @nostalgic-woodwind who got me here in the first place.
The end of eighth grade had reared its ugly head. All week Mei had stayed up late studying harder than usual in the hopes of excelling her grades to their fullness, resulting in little to no sleep.
Now that trial of stress was behind her, she cuddled up in Ming’s arms and happily drank the bottle of angel milk Jin had made for her.
Coming out to her parents about regressing after the growing pains incident wasn’t the easiest of confessions to make but to her surprise, they were supportive.
Ming even closed the temple doors for little days which Mei appreciated, not wanting to be embarrassed by people seeing her in a onesie or clutching Winifred while sucking on a pacifier.
“You feel better sweetheart?” Ming asked, brushing a lock of red hair behind her daughter’s ear.
Mei nodded, giggling and wiggling her feet as she continued to suck on the bottle.
A bubble bath from Ming always helped but cuddling up with her while holding a bottle and wearing her favorite red panda onesie made Mei feel calm and relaxed.
“How’s our little cub?” Jin asked, holding a warm fuchsia blanket fresh from the dryer.
Mei squealed, dropping the bottle to the floor as she reached for the blanket.
Ming chuckled, picking the bottle up from the floor.
“Happier now that you and her favorite blanket are here,” She smiled.
Ming made room for her husband on their daughter’s bed and kissed his cheek.
He had been the most supportive since day one, getting Mei new gear, making her favorite regress foods, and anything else he thought would make her comfortable which both mother and daughter appreciated.
Mei yawned, rubbing her eyes as Ming took off her glasses and placed them on her nightstand while Jin turned on her Barbie nightlight.
As Mei snuggled with her blanket, beginning to fall asleep, Ming leaned over and kissed her forehead.
“Mommy and Daddy are so proud of our little cub. You’ve worked so hard this week but for now, you need to get some sleep. Perhaps we can have a pajama day tomorrow and watch movies all day,” She whispered, stroking Mei’s hair. “I love you Mei-Mei.”
Placing Winifred in their daughter’s arms, Jin and Ming quietly stepped out of Mei’s room and closed the door ajar in case she needed one of them during the night.
